Dr. Richard Kalina received his Doctor of Optometry in 1998 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). During his time at the medical center, he completed his Master’s degree in physiological optics (MS) and a Master’s degree in public health (MPH). Prior to joining Moretsky Cassidy Vision Correction, Dr. Kalina served as a medical optometrist for one of the largest ophthalmology practices in Illinois.
Dr. Kalina is the founder of the Valley Eye Network, one the largest eye care surgical referral centers in Arizona, and is the Director of Professional Relations for Moretsky Cassidy Vision Correction.
Dr. Kalina provides patient care, diagnosing and treating medical eye conditions. He has extensive experience conducting post-operative evaluations for cataract, laser, and refractive surgical patients.
Dr. Kalina is actively involved with the local, state and national optometric associations. He is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and he received the 2013 President’s Award. Nationally, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
